Amara Soap Making Class was founded in 2016 by Arawee, a member of the northern Thai royal family who studied soap making, herbs, scents, and oils in the science lab and learned the uses of herbs and natural treatments in a local clinic in Yangon, Burma. The soap class was started because of the idea of sharing knowledge in skincare creation. As the founder had skin problems from chemical skin treatments, she started making soap for herself. Every time she makes a new batch of soap, she would wonder how to make better soap. This is the reason why she took soap making class in the science lab and flew over to Burma to gain experience in using herbs.
Amara Soap Making Class would highly recommend everyone to join our cold process soap making class. The cold process is considered the best way to create the perfect bath products. Cold process soap is made by combining oils and sodium hydroxide lye, which causes a chemical reaction called saponification. In the process, you get to choose the oils, scents, colorants, and any other ingredients like herbs and scrub. It's a great way for someone to master the art of soap-making and spa crafts. Besides the cold process soap making class we also teach melt and pour soap making and this class welcome kids from 6 years old as we would like the young curious mind have the chance to discover the fizzy world of the soap making, inquire about herbs properties, use natural colorants and additives, learn the ways of saving our planet, and nurturing environment. Our Melt & Pour class is also fun and useful as it shows the simply way to create everyday beauty care.
Amara Soap Making Class aims to spread the knowledge of natural body care and soap making. We would like to raise awareness of natural soap and skincare products and teach how to make them fit each of our class participants' skin condition. We do believe that our fun class is where science, art, wisdom, serenity, and inspiration meet together. We always make sure that after our class everyone will carry own artisan soap and a full box of joy back home. In the future, we hope to extend to have more natural handcraft workshops and welcome everyone with many more ways for us to create earth-loving creations.
